GENOMICS IN AQUACULTURE: GIA2013
http://www.gia2013.org/
Scope As a key platform technology in modern biotechnology, genomics has had a significant scientific, social and economic impact in aquaculture. In spite of the notable progress in aquaculture genomics during the last decade, the application of genomics to aquaculture biotechnology needs further development.
The Genomics in Aquaculture (GIA) symposium, which started in Bodø in 2009 with the support of the Research Council of Norway, has been a platform for aquaculture genomicists and geneticists to interact, discuss and establish collaborations.
The GIA2013 will take place at the University of Nordland on 4th-6th September 2013 and it will cover cutting edge topics related to aquaculture biotechnology, including genomics, epigenomics and other omics applications in aquaculture (nutrition, stress, health and reproduction).
